Don't Be Koi
The inspiration for this painting was the koi pond at SelbyGardens in Sarasota, Florida. Although her marine biologist husband assures Grace that one koi is eating the algae off of the other, she prefers to believe that the male koi is kissing the back of the female who is being coy.
Grace’s time spent in China is reflected in this painting. The Chinese characters say, “Don’t Be Koi.”
